Everyone has heard of Pinterest at least once in their life. It has grown to become one of the most used social media platforms in existence. It serves as a visual discovery tool, helping you find ideas related to every category imaginable, from recipes, home décor, lifestyle, travel, and much more.

In the search bar, you can type in the inspiration you’re looking for: backyard landscape design, patio ideas, swimming pool designs, etc. Thousands upon thousands of pictures, called Pins, will surface. When you discover Pins you love, save them to your boards, which are essentially albums, to keep your ideas organized and easy to find.  

Your home feed is where you will lose countless of hours scrolling. Pinterest’s algorithm displays Pins on this feed that it thinks you’ll enjoy based on what you’ve liked in the past. The feed also shows Pins from the people, topics, and boards you choose to follow.

Houzz: your online shopping platform 

If you’re unfamiliar with Houzz, it is a website on which you can browse and save beautiful design pictures, similar to Pinterest. However, on this site, you can also find and purchase specific products as seen on inspirational pictures and find/contact construction professionals through their Houzz profiles. This platform also serves as an interactive space where you can exchange with over 40 million homeowners around the world regarding design topics or dilemmas. In fact, Houzz hosts an advice section in which you can share tips and tricks with other homeowners and seek advice from them or from professionals. 

Whether you’re looking for inspiration, seeking advice or looking to purchase a product or service, there is no shortage of what can be achieved on Houzz. Reviews are also a big part of this platform, allowing you to get feedback from others before making a purchase. For inspiration regarding landscape design, visit our Houzz profile.
